Chermoulla Paste

  • · Stir leftover paste with natural yogurt or sour cream to make a dip.
  • · Chermoulla is a North African spice paste. Use on fish or chicken.
  • · Store leftover paste, covered, in fridge.

Makes about 2/3 cup

Preparation: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • · 1 cup chopped coriander
  • · 1 small red onion, halved, chopped
  • · 2 fresh long green chillies, chopped
  • · 2 fresh long red chillies, chopped
  • · 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • · 1 small lemon, zest finely grated, juiced
  • · 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • · 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • · 1 teaspoon ground turmeric

Method:

  1. Process all ingredients to form a paste.
